Buildbox Game Spotlight: It’s Lights Out

This week’s game spotlight is Sophie Ross’s It’s Lights Out. This fun retro pixel art racing game was built with Buildbox in just a week. It’s been featured in the app store’s racing games category worldwide, including countries like the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, France, Australia, Russia, Spain, and India.

So, let’s take a closer look at It’s Light Out by Sophie Ross!

It’s Lights Out and Away You Go

If you enjoy retro gaming and have a love for pixel art racers, It’s Light Out might be your next mobile gaming addiction. This retro-inspired racer lets players hop into a new MCL35M PIXEL vehicle to race through a challenging obstacle course. To score high and make it to the finish line, players must avoid other cars and random cracks on the road. If you hit a crack or collide with another vehicle, it’s game over, aka “time to retire.” Scattered across the tracks are pixelated papayas that you can collect for points. It’s a fun casual racer.
