Buildbox 3 Update

Hi Boxers,

We’re back with another Buildbox 3 update and some exciting news. We’re nearing the finish line, guys! 🏁 Awesome, right?! So, get ready for a big announcement coming very soon.

Our development team has been hard at work on polishing up the software and implementing some final customer requests. We want to include as many of your suggestions as possible into the final version of Buildbox 3.

We really appreciate all the feedback, and we’ve been listening. So, our support staff has been working closely with our development team to get your requests added to the software. Currently, we’re working on adding an easy to use health bar and addressing other suggestions to make BB3 not only the best but the easiest to use 3D game development engine.

Buildbox 3 is our most advanced software to-date, and we can’t wait to show you what it can do. You can create all types of games including 3D role-playing games, interactive card games like solitaire, and hit arcade games with the same mechanics as Angry Birds!

Buildbox 3 Update

Below are few cool demos of these gameplay types in Buildbox 3:

3D RPG, Demo

Nik made this incredible role-playing game demo with Buildbox 3 in less than one hour! You can create fun worlds, rooms, and zones that your game characters can explore all within the software. Somewhat similar to Zelda and other classic RPG style games it’s possible to build an entire story around your main character and have them interact with different objects and enemies that they encounter along the way.

Solitaire Card Game, Demo

With Buildbox 3, you’ll also be able to make fun addicting card games like Classic Klondike and Patience Solitaire. As depicted in the demo below, players can shuffle, stack, move, and flip over cards just like a real casino game.  Get ready to lay it all on the table!

Angry Birds Style Game, Demo

Aim and toss to knock down obstacles or enemies at a distance and make your own Angry Birds style game. We’ve had a lot of customers request this, and now it’ll be possible with Buildbox 3. Check out the demo below to see these sweet gameplay mechanics in action!

We’re also working on increasing the number of nodes and making sure the nodes that we do have are flexible and easy to use. The team is also considering bringing in a group of low level nodes that will help you to build your own custom node faster.  Buildbox 3 will be just as user-friendly as our previous software, BB2.

Thanks for the support everyone, and check back here for development updates every two weeks!

Don’t be trapped as other engines (Unity is a good example). Try not showing capabilities of the engine that are not supposed to share how to do it or with the only objective to show the theorical capabilities of the engine if you put a lot of effort on it. It’s better to share everything in order for the community to learn and progress.

The codeless part is important in bb3 that too without much complexity….

There’s only so much you can do without coding. It looks like BB3 has the ability to make codeless games as well as the ability to make much more complex games with code. You can’t expect to make a great game nowadays with no code. You are going to have to get your hands dirty sooner or later if you want to create a completely unique game.

It is better to add a new functionality and not useless demos that do not carry the logic of the games you are writing about
