Our new update, Buildbox 3.4.9, is officially live! This most recent update adds some great new features like a smart editor, global node search, and the ability to create your own custom collision groups. We’ve also made a few other fixes and improvements, like better list support for huge projects. No more undesirable content cutoff points!
Here’s a quick rundown of What’s New in Buildbox 3.4.9!
New Smart Editor
Buildbox 3.4.9 has a new, smart editor that makes it easier to edit games made with the wizard. Now with simplified UI panels, you can quickly edit logic generated by the wizard without digging through node maps. You can also easily swap out FBX models and animations by simply choosing a new character from the asset library.
Global Node Search Feature
For our more advanced creators, we’ve also added a new global node search feature that lets you find all instances of a string within nodes. You’ll find this in the tools menu! It’s a handy feature for anyone making a complicated game.
Custom Collision Groups
In this latest update, you now have the ability to create and assign your own collision groups. You can also assign assets to multiple collision groups to simplify your game logic.
Outliner Optimization
We’ve integrated outliner functionality into project assets, making it easier than ever to locate and modify scene entities!
