Yes, I am having the same issues as well as the shadow issue.
I noticed the on the presets that they had set the character to die upon hitting the obstacle but they never set the obstacle to a static physics object meaning it has no collision giving the impression the defeat is not working. Take a look at the 3D flap preset the defeat works perfect there.
Importing .obj causing BB3 to crash on preview
Has anyone had problems with collision shapes once they resize the original shape? I've had some strange bugs around this. Also, if you have an object rotate, the resized collision shape doesnt follow it. I will try and make a video later.
They don't seem to be sticking on the actor it's like gravity is slowly pulling them off the mesh over time ?
I'm having a crash issue when clicking on the preview.
The entire window just shut down, is a fresh install.
No problem with BB2, only happened on BB3D preview.
Please help support.
Not that I can help but are you on a Mac or PC ?
We tried adding in new defeat nodes with "if collide" node the affected asset. In fact we even set the object to static physics. However it is still not defeating the character as it should. So we are really wondering if there is a bug
So you choose the object to collide with ? add a set color node after the defeat to test if it's working plus make sure there is a collision hull there sometimes they go off center and you have to get them back in place.
There's also a collision mesh for the "If Collide" node which is a bit strange and that's for every "If Collide" node so you might be missing that. Now that is a bug if that true !
I can't open the preview of bb3 ... Do you have a solution for me ?
I'm currently using PC windows 10. Any one can help out?
@NikRudenko Using the Space Buggy preset why does the Character not collide with the Walls if you change the If Collide - Affected Asset from Obstacles (the red balls) to Wall?
Can't figure the logic behind this at all?
We tried literally everything in the bag and it still doesn't defeat the character... LOL
By Default all objects in BB3 are non physics. It means there is just polygons and nothing else. In that way we ca reduce overhead on physics computation.
For that particular presets you need to turn physics ON for Wall and set it to Type static. So it will react with other physics bodies and ifCollide Node.
Let me know if you have any questions
yep got questions @NikRudenko
I Understand the theory but cannot see how the physics of the wall is changed in this example?
I have replicated this but It's having no affect. The buggy still happily wanders through the Wall with no collision?
Hey theres! I have a problem to report for BB3D...
1- Node removing one by one is not working as BB2
2- App Cache (BB3D) can not change instantly, I'll explain with example, I'm changing ACTOR nodes or something like that and saved the game, but sometimes it does not affect what I changed. After close and reopen BB3D, it affect what I changed on ACTOR nodes...
I hope I explained right.. (Sorry for not perfect English )
I’ve posted a unlisted video for everyone struggling with collision.
I'm going to try this, but I think it would be far easier to have an enemy group to do all this !
