@AndyG yes we will have exporting for both iOS and Android in Beta. We pretty much had exporting for iOS ready to go and I know I talked to you about that before, but we decided to hold it off at the last minute because it needed a little more polishing. It was a tough call, we wanted it to be just a little more polished before blasting it out.
Gotta say though this is looking pretty awesome. Really stable apart from that one small animation node bug that crashes. Fantastic work by Nik. The two presets are great as a starting point especially with Fly. Amazing all that in such a simple mind map. Looking forward to the beta, more presets AND export
What build number do you have I've got B#2175, I also noticed Zacks got extra option on the camera which I don't have the focus edge is missing on mine so I may be using the old version ?
Hey @ZackGriset Why is it that when we drag an .obj file the colors of the assets gone missing? LOL! Would appreciate if you can enlighten us on this as we definitely wanna get a good headstart in understanding bbox 3 Thanx in advance
Because it does not bring in texture information. Just drag your .png texture into the material section I believe. Have not tested it though since I do not have access to BB3 yet lol or I would totally test it and give a more accurate answer
@ZackGriset @TreySmith Pretty excited to get a kick start with BB 3 and launch some really fascinating products. Eagerly waiting for the subscription to start
A question for anyone with BB3 about importing obj's? I read above in a conversation between @Rebel Studios and @thatguyminib that you import the obj and add .png texture into the material section, sounds simple enough, but are there any provisions inside BB for for diffuse, specular and/or normal bump maps etc? Cheers.
Sometimes the map is in other formats such as jpg or even tga files @Phill Mason so we need to change it's format to png to be able to put into the texture section. It really depends on the artist who did the 3d assets
They haven't disclosed how to add texture maps on 3D objects yet. I've seen some demo videos released awhile ago that suggested that there were configurable shaders present in BB3, but it's unknown if they use texture maps or some sort of procedural process. Textures require UV maps and can be more complicated than procedural.
Had a bit of a play there not much you can do with it yet, the Sphere icon is for collision hull. So totally flying blind at the moment !
Hi, what PC do you have? CPU Graphic card When I try to execute the preview, BB closes. It only happens if I have an object in the 3D world, if the 3d world has no object, I can see the preview. I'm going to send an email to support to tell me the minimum requirements.
i7 4Ghz with 32gig of ram and 2X GTX980Ti I do 3D modeling for a living so I'm geared up for it. They install it in the wrong dir to! it overwrites BB2 so make sure it in another dir or you will need to reinstall BB2 again
Hi, thanks for responding so fast. I have a PC 10 times less powerful ... I always change the folder where BB is installed, I changed the default path to BB 3.0 Alpha 2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled in the default folder, but the same thing keeps happening to me. I think it will be from the graphics card, since I use the one that comes with the default laptop (Intel HD Graphics 5500). I want to install BB3 on my laptop to work anywhere.
I have the same issue, when i preview it closes obviously windows version, i can easily run 3ds max on mine, it's on a separate partitioned drive so there is no conflict, though it's a little light on specs it should easily handle this there obviously something a miss
What graphics card do you have? I have sent an email to the technical support with the specifications of my PC, please, send an email, indicating the Hardware that you have, to see if it happens in other PC's.
