Wow this is difficult. Can't get beyond the tutorial. Will have to test it later again to get used to the controls. The ambient is fantastic. Thanks for the invite Phill.
Hehehehe... Let me crack it!! We'll give you the feedback on Monday if that's ok with you... We are gonna get kids to test it as well
@Christoph - It does get easier the more you get used to the controls. Your post cracked me up Thanks @Rebel Studios of course Monday is cool, have a great weekend
this is Nuts! took me forever to get past step 4 of the TUTORIAL and I've given up on step 5 completely. The imagery is outstanding. The atmosphere is excellent. But for me personally it's just way too much of a learning curve and skills test. As @Phill Mason said: Mr Buzz was designed with the gamer in mind, not so much the casual gamer who enjoys the simple one-touch gameplay, but a more seasoned console gamer who likes to take on a challenge. I'm definitely not that demographic unfortunately but I think this game, in hard core gaming circles, could be a huge hit.
Thanks for the feedback @AndyG just what I need to hear. I knew people were going to find it hard, but you're the second person to say they got stuck on the tutorial Not supposed to be funny I've played all the levels so many times now, it's hard to remember how tricky there were at first, as I only find the end handful of levels difficult. I want to get feedback from all the other and then make the necessary adjustment based on the majority of feedback. I don't want it to be too easy to get through, but on the other hand, I do want folks to get past the tutorials to experience the vast variation of levels that are in store. I remember reading an article some months back (can't remember who it was) about a developer who made one simple change to his game and saw his revenue increase 300% - 400%, somewhere around there and all he did was make it slightly easier. Too many people abandoned his game because it was too hard. I'm also trying to find that balance of a tricky game that people will stick at, but I need to find that sweet-spot. Thanks again.
@Phill Mason ..... Check your PM in here mate... We've sent in the feedback that you require. Hope that helps and cheers to your game launch
I've been really enjoying this game Phill. I've gotten through several levels. I thought the tutorial was excellent. This game is taking BB to a whole new level of design and execution. Fantastic job so far. This is going to be an awesome hit if the Marketing is done right. I think that a publishing deal is a must for this, with multiple releases on many platforms. Mr. Buzz needs to start creating a buzz from now. I emailed you on some of my UI suggestions. One of the levels, (I think stage 3) where a blue item was dropping from a spawner, it was missing a death animation. Keep it up. Cheers.
Feedback so far has been amazing, thank you so much everyone who's responded so far and I look forward to hearing from the rest of you as soon as you're able. General feedback has been that it's too hard, especially in the tutorial, which should be easy right So to help those of you who've got a little stuck, there is a hidden "Skip Level" button in the beta version you guys have. It's at the bottom left of the screen under the rotate controls - see image. Will be handy for those of you who've already had a blast and would like to check out some of the later levels, cheers. @AndyG @PhLabUniverse @Rebel Studios @Lee Fellows @Christoph @Machine Rises @Collin Wade Thiessen @David D @dan_counsell @qfup @ajcoryat @Kamil Kucma @kodagames @tomwhite3d @thepappillon @Simon Crack
I have it now I will start testing today from what I have seen it looks very cool! I had ago at the tutorial like some of the others finding it hard but I am crap so possibly down to inept player!
Interesting @ajcoryat it's about 50/50 at the mo, with folks who think it's too hard and those like yourself who think it's about right. This is the first time I've had anyone beta test an app for me and I can't believe I hadn't done it before, so much constructive feedback, it's a perfect system Apple put in place.
