Hey guys, almost finished my first BB app and have been polishing some artwork for the characters. I'm trying to decide which one I prefer. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Light or Dark?
Guess not Andy, I've tried several ways on inserting from Dropbox, but no cigar. I'll host it elsewhere *edit: For the record, it doesn't like "Box" links either.
The character design looks very high quality -- is that environment in the picture the environments in the game as well?
I haven't decided on the environment yet Jamie, just put that behind the character to get a look and feel of what might work.
Hi Phil great speaking with you again with this updated forum. I really like your preview. Great graphics, very high quality. How did you get those?! My choice would be the white/silver character as it comes through the best and gives you a sense of sleekness. Immediately chose that one. That's my vote.
Hey bud, long time Great design btw. Although I like both concept, I would also go with the white/silver. But since we can have multi character, why not both?
Thanks Chris, great to hear from you again. I like the fact that you immediately chose the silver one as that's likely to appeal to others when browsing screenshots and app icons in the store. Like Erwin said, we can have both in the game, but I want to chose one for branding etc. I made the graphics in After Effects because I can create all my game assets in there, plus I can animate the main character with some simple movements. A good work-flow for me
Looks great Phill. I like the silver one as well although the black one reminds me of one of the evil empire droids from Star Wars. Can't wait to see your game.
Hey Erwin, good to hear from you again buddy, it's been a while I might use both in the game, as you mentioned, now we can have multiple characters, just trying to get a feel for the groups opinion.
Thanks @Elman - yes, Element 3D plugin - my best friend Cheers @gary, I really like the black one and it looks amazing a full 1080p res, but when it's around 80px in the game, it's totally lost it's super-glossy finish, so I think the silver/white one is winning, good choice, thanks.
They look fantastic! At a smaller size they may get lost if your background is too busy. They look super cool though.
Don't care - want to play it now! Seriously tho both look cool. Silver works better on a smaller scale
WHOA!!! Both looks awesome Phil!! I think you can take both Phil For the black one... may i suggest you put in some red glow lights on the smaller circles... That will make the black drone look sleek... Cheers dude
