This may sound pretty silly. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to move back and forth in creator when I'm building my game. I.e. move around the level I'm building, make it longer, etc. Does this make sense? I can't find a tutorial video that breaks down the simple controls.
- Hold down space bar and the left click on your mouse to drag the screen around - Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out
Ok so if I want my character, enemy, objects and platforms to change in every scene will I need multiple worlds? Or is there a way to achieve that in an "endless" mode? Thanks for your patience, I'm new to this.
You just need to randomize your scenes. EDIT --> Randomise Scenes And no, you don't need multiple worlds for randomizing scenes
So this doesn't seem to be working for me. I've randomized the scenes but if I change my background in scene x it changes in scene y as well. I can't seem to figure out how to have all aspects change from scene to scene. for instance, in Color Switch if not only the character changed but the character as well as enemy, background, etc.
Right, so how do I change that. My goal is to change background, character, enemy and all other objects in every scene.
I think you will need to place an image as a decoration (or non collision object) in the scene that will overlay the background image
@andre_sprs one to add. http://buildbox.com/forum/index.php...rating-angry-birds-type-game.5818/#post-30591 If you don't mind I have the ability to edit and can add things myself. Just don't want to step on your toes.
Hi , wanted to ask how can I have a image follow the character (while on the UI with Char. Select), for example when i'm selecting each character I will set a difficulty for this specific character, and I already have the image and I was hoping I could link the image to the character, which would make the image follow character once selected ,but no can do .. help ?
How can I make a Building style strategy game, Also how do i access all the assets like pictures and sound for buildbox?
@ivanito123 Video's are not possible to embed with BuildBox I believe.. @RedGhost557 Other than the preset's available in BuildBox (indie games) I don't think there's much you can do, you can always tweak & change into your own applicable rules.. For the assets they all should be granted access through the download page with Support@buildbox.com , ask them to send you the everything collection check this for further info: https://www.buildbox.com/forum/index.php?threads/buildbox-gameplay-preset-examples.2081/
How do i actually add the graphics, cause in the Tutorial videos i saw him just drag something from off the screen, thats what im trying to figure out where to get pictures to use in my game
You should have the pictures in a folder or something and just drag the file (the picture) from there... If you have a sprite animation select all files (animation frames) in Finder or Explorer if you have a Windows, and drag all of them at once in there...
Also, don't do what I did ,thought the Drag & Drop menu wasn't working, but I was trying to add images to the mind map instead of trying to add them inside the actual world/level or scene ( First week of BuildBox it's like buying new furniture, which you'l have to assemble on your own later on )
