Tomeo and Duliet by MMeGames is this week’s game spotlight. This fun casual game combines Angry Birds’ gameplay mechanics with a cool sketch art style for a one-of-a-kind arcade experience. Built with Buildbox 3, it’s already been featured in both the arcade and strategy categories in charts spanning the globe, including countries like Australia, Russia, Canada, Spain, and the Netherlands.
So, let’s take a closer look at MMeGames’ Tomeo and Duliet!
Tomeo and Duliet – Wherefore Art Thou
As you can guess by the name, Tomeo and Duliet puts a playful spin on the famous William Shakespeare play, ‘Romeo and Juilet.’ However, instead of feuding families, it’s a clan of evil doodles that are keeping this pair of young star-crossed lovers apart. They’ve kidnapped Duliet and hung her in an iron cage as a prisoner on the castle’s highest tower.
It’s up to players to help Tomeo rescue his precious Duliet by finding the hidden key to unlock the cage. Like the hit Angry Birds, players have to aim and launch Tomeo over the castle walls strategically and lingering traps to grab the key. You only get a set number of attempts to slingshot Tomeo to the other side. If you run out of attempts or fall into a trap, it’s game over. It’s a real challenge but addicting as well.
There’s a total of 33 levels to play through with graphics that are as unique and fun as the gameplay. The cute animated characters against a black and white paper drawn kingdom transport you into the tale.
If you’re a fan of Angry Birds and enjoy a challenge, then you’ll love playing Tomeo and Duliet!
