Server Communication Error - Can't Save My Project

    I am trying already 1.5 hours to save my open file. And I can't because it can't communicate with the server. This is horrible. Please get rid of that 'feature'.

    If Buildbox server is failing I can't save my project??? Really?

    Lots of fun. Now it crashed before I was able to save my day's work. Thanks Buildbox. I think I'll just move on to Playmaker. Can't take this anymore.

    Sadly, I had this happen to me twice this week. I also vote for trashing this feature. I don't understand the requirement or thinking behind server communication, in order to save my work.

    I too experience this often.And had to switch ISP's every now and then or else entire work becomes waste :(

    Hi,
    Please BB Team make possible we can use BB offline. I just want two thing for update to BB3 (from BB2), the possibility of using offline and using node for write JS code for 2D game, if not, I'll said bye to BB. I went in Syria (not internet) and Iraq (poor and expensive internet). Make mandatory just for export game. Regards!

    PD: I'm not interested in creating 3d games.

    Hi Guys, I'm new here. I had just subscribed to buildbox's one year subscription and upon launching the software I immediately found that the error message "server communication error" keeps popping up every couple of minutes. I have checked my internet connection several times and found that there isn't any problem with the connection. I have no idea what else I should do. Please help. I have also emailed the support teams twice and have yet to receive any reply. upload_2018-8-21_3-20-52.png

    Try re-installing. Sometimes a quick restart could work. Check your internet connection. Also what version # of Buildbox are you using?

    Hi HueTheDev,

    Thanks for your reply. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Buildbox and I am still facing the same issue here. When I'm not using Buildbox I usually stream netflix shows and it works fine. If I can stream netflix shows with my internet connection then I should surely be able to use Buildbox without any issues. I'm using verison 2.3.6 which I think is the latest version.

    i've managed to work around this for ages by just disconnecting the wifi temporarily on my MacBook and connecting again moments later which fixes it but yes, very frustrating but like you say lets wait for the new update

    How frequently does it happen to you? Do you ever lose your saves?

    Any updates on this? Looks like this thread was from a year ago and I'm still experiencing this issue where I can't save my project because "Server Communication Error"?

    Same problem today - for the last 3 hours - 'server comm issue' - can't save the last 2 hours worth of work!! never happened to me before - this is a pain in the bumhole - straight up there :mad:

    Sad to see this still happening. As of last year I was told They have no plans to fix this "saving issue" or the "check server" status thing I call them. that came straight from the man himself.

    I posted this on twitter too with a link to this thread - Trey says they are ‘working on a solution’ - i’m asking for a timeframe. Losing 3 hours of work is zero fun
