I think that’s because the Activate on Release is set to 0, so will continue indefinitely. I’m not sure why it’s changing based on Collision. I would send the BBDoc to support and link them to this thread.
When you spawn a character bullet (or object) to kill enemies within an already spawned object from the scene, then it doesn't kill anymore.
When you spawn enemies they do not respect the scene hierarchy. It seems whatever is spawned first is at the top of the one that is spawned later. That was rather me being stupid than BB having a bug. lol. I put them in the wrong order...
If you attach (link) an object to the character and then delete the character, the linked object is not found anymore in the scene hierarchy list at the left. You still can move it and select it in the scene, but you can't delete it or anything. It's like a ghost object now. Also, when you link any object to the character that was brought into the scene after the character it will always render above the character even though in the hierarchy it is underneath.
When you import an image into a UI it doesn't automatically detect the name of the image anymore. It's empty or it gives it a number instead.
Same problem here buddy. My whole game was based on these advanced moves which ive just gotten perfect.....now its not working.
Hi Christoph Do you know if that work in 2.3.5 ? (Menu jump in object) I tried also in the pre release 2.3.6 Thx
I don't think there was an intention to have this work, but I'll check and see if it's workable or have it blocked if it is deemed problematic.
Could you guys send a simple example that illustrates the issue (along with explanation) to support@buildbox.com. We'll check it out and consider the options. If a behavior has changed for the worse and there is no "proper" way to do what you need in 2.3.6 then we will figure out a solution.
if you spawn something like character bullet etc then Sometimes other spawned objects get killed, without getting touched by this character bullet or anything else Update: Only default animation disappears, collsion shape of disappeared object is still moving in gameplay window I have already sent BBDOC to support with disappearing default animation
Hi Andy, thanks for reaching out. After a few hours I’ve manages to get the functionality working again by using some transform logic combined with the advanced moves to keep the mechanics consistent. Thanks
There seems to be some sort of global variables change 2.3.6 wants to install in the Buildbox3 directory not sure how that changed. So just a heads up for people who have both keep an eye on where the install path is before you press install, or you may have to reinstall both versions again !
I found a bug. If you place an Action inside an object (for example, to spawn Actions), once the Action is collected and the Duration has passed, the Character drops the Actions Collision Shape on Screen and it stays there, like a ghost collision! What's worse is, if the Object that the Action is placed inside of is set to Collide, you can still collide with the Ghost Collision Shape even though the Object and Action are gone and you can't see it.
There is a lot of issues with spawning, I have already written a lot about spawning and collision in this threat and threat before, It's so strange for me that things which worked well on previous releases after the update are broken But this is sadly frequent with Buildbox
