The title of this thread is pretty self explanatory.

I'm just curious to what other Devs feel about these "Paid Shoutouts"?

I've noticed a couple of people have used them to increase downloads.
Does anyone else have any success stories?

I only discovered it was a thing today when I read the DownFall show case on this forum today.
So I don't know an awful lot about it.

    Thoughts?

you will need first to find legit Shoutouts ( i have no idea ) ,
and lot of money, because one twitt won't make a lot of impact..

I'm referring to these websites where people pay £100's for a shoutout to Instagram accounts.
Personally, I can't ever see myself using them.
Impressions don't mean downloads and downloads don't mean game sessions.
    But maybe I'm wrong?

    I don't know any.
Only that of what was mentioned in the Downfall Game Show Case thread.
It looks like the developer used a different site, suggesting there are many.
The website mentioned here looks sketchy to me though.

I have tried to advertise my website trough Instagram, and I can say I gained a lot of experience from it.
1 thing I can tell is to choose a right person or a niche profile.
bc I have purchased a shoutout from a professional Model, and absolutely nothing worked.
