I finally have enough to purchase BB2. While I was saving I was thinking all kinds of stuff. Now that I can afford it nothing comes to mind. Wheres a good place to start getting those ideas back? Before I buy it what kind of samples does BB2 have? Should I trust those templates in the marketplace? Thanks
I would first suggest two books... "the art of game design" by Jesse Schell, and "thinkertoys" by Michael Michalko also, being aware of these concepts may help https://www.buildbox.com/forum/index.php?threads/paralyzing-possiblities.1931/#post-12119 https://www.buildbox.com/forum/index.php?threads/pencil-and-paper.1887/
To get a good start just open BuildBox and start playing with like you play with a new toy drop some simple shapes and try presets and templates that comes with the software then you start to have an idea how it work and what it doesn't work then yo will get a ton of idea also go play games download and play a lot of games from flash to android and ios and also go see game showcase to see what other member have created in the way its not bad to read couple books about game creation.
