How can I create art like the one featured in the new game by Trey Smith called The Pit, it looks awesome and was curious as to what software might have been used to create the art and objects etc. :)

I was just thinking that, it looks to me like it was modelled in 3D and rendered out into 2D?

I would be pretty confident a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or equivalents) would have been used. Oh and paper and a pencil :)

Yes, pen and paper and then photoshop. All 2D hand created to look like 3D. It was created by Dani who is our staff artist.
