Was just pondering. Is there a reason BB isn't on Apples Mac Store?

What would be the purpose? Apple would take a percentage of the sales.

Sure, but wouldn't there be more sale overall?

Not with that prize tag. The Appstore is used for cheaper prized software. + I guess until the software isn't more stable the reviews wouldn't be that great. Buildbox is like a love-hate relationship for most of us, but in this cases the hate would echo louder normally which in the end doesn't tell the true story after all. There are for sure hundred more reasons but if I were in charge this two would be enough for me to take that decision. :)

I say make BB free, with ad support in the software lol. Make WAAYYYYYY more money. Especially since the whole world would then download it.

AppStore is no longer a marketing platform. Back then when you have made an app Apple put your app to the "New This Week" section so ppl could find it even if you did not advertise it. Now you only get visibility if Apple decides to feature it.

So yes, the answer is that there is no real advantage on putting something there in terms of getting more visibility. You still need to do your traditional marketing. But then why would you put your stuff in there and give Apple a cut when you can just host your apps elsewhere?

I dunno, Theres just so many popular sites out that focus and cover whats on apple stores that the attention would increase ten fold, making it worth giving up 30%. increase BB price and it will balance out lolololol
