Switch Between Gameplay Styles? I thought I read this could be done.... I want to switch from Platformer to Side scroller shooter to Top Scroller shooter in what ever order. Maybe I read wrong?? :-/ I hope this works because it helps with the concept I'm working on!
Everyone want this feature. But its not possible. Throughout the game a character can maintain same settings. So if you change the characteristics of a character in 1 game mode, it changes in all game modes. Hope you got me.
Yeah, this is possible! Just switch between worlds with different settings. Or sometimes, a simple action is enough. Depending on your game ideas you will have to play with both options to make it work. Characters must be designed to be compatible with all your gameplay styles though. The only way you could change it would be with advanced moves, so you even could change the collision shapes. But then you are limited with shoot or jumps animations. At least it's another factor you can play with...
