Hi guys, this is my second game with Buildbox called SnapBall (I’m still waiting to release my first one). Any feedback is appreciated ! iOS - Download Android - Download I know this is a small simple game, I made it in 2 days (+2 weeks polishing). But I spent 1 year + 1 month (13 months) on my first game that I will release soon I see awesome games every weeks in the game showcase, Good luck with your projects ! Dan L
Hi Dan, - My very first thought was the icon of the game lol, I think it will look more appealing if you add the ground and a spike to it. - A bit too zoomed? Which lead to some frustration when I'm too surprised. - I would play it more if it was more challenging and rewarding as well. Other than that great work! (I'll be waiting your other game release )
Thank you for the feedback ! -I wanted the icon to be similar to the Snapchat icon, because it's a game based on the Snapchat theme. But I will think about it, thanks -The zoom thing make the gameplay "snappy", the obstacles are a bit unpredictable, this is why the game is called SnapBall. -I'll try find ways to make the game more challenging and rewarding. Thank you very much
Haha maybe, I see a lot of good games without music. I'm not a good musician, but maybe I'll search for a free music somewhere, thanks ^^
I like the game personally. I like how zoomed in it is. It's really unique. You could add a bunch of Challenges or Levels though, that would be awesome!
I LOVE the design! Great job polishing! But it's a bit too hard for most people, I can only reach 108 after playing for an hour (By the way, how did you make the buttons slide out after clicking the settings button?)
Thanks! 108 is good Haha I'm happy that you ask me this, it was interesting to find a way to make the UI work: 1: The Main Menu, divided in 4 Worlds and 4 UIs (in order to make the buttons animations). 2: The Gameplay, divided in 3 Worlds and 3 UIs (in order to make the Main Menu - Gameplay transition) 3: The Shop, divided in 52 UIs (Idk if I could do it easier, but it's the only way I found to unlock the characters with score and number of plays) Now I want to add more characters, and maybe new features/challenges in the game, but it will take hours for simple things just because of this "big" system.
Wow Can't believe what looks so simple it actually so complicated I'll try to figure it out I can't even do this in a month
Very cool. I love the artwork- the simplicity of the line and the character and score outlines. My only critique would be to make the characters jump arc slightly bigger so I can play just a bit longer before dying and couple that with an increasing speed the further you get. At the same time may be better not to complicate it too much. Right now the game plays super smooth nice work!
