How do I go about learning how to make simple one-coloured shapes like those in the games mentioned in the title? I didn't know what to search for so I thought it's best to just ask. I have no background in art or anything like that so I have no clue where to begin. What software is recommended? Photoshop? Are there any tutorials I can follow out there? Thanks.
Photoshop? Yes. I say you make a new file in photoshop with no background, put in some shapes like circle or square or even custom shapes like aeroplane or star. Save it as png. Super simple art. Even I did the same to make my game BlockRun(Link in signature).
What about specifications such as resolutions and all of that. Does it matter? Again, I have no experience with this sort of stuff so forgive me for being oblivious to anything.
Resolution should be small. Max: 500x500 Or else when you scale your objects, they'll look pixelated.
