Hi, I've implanted a share button withing the game, pressing on it pops the android-share-menu asking where to share it - FB, whatsapp etc. - however, selecting Whatsapp for example, let you choose the group to share with but does not share anything, just back to the game. same with share via sms or email, shows the content of the sms empty. any idea?
Hello, in Project Setting/General/Share Menssage Try this game, my best score is [[SCORE]] points at this game http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=YOURAPPNAME http://snag.gy/chHdR.jpg
thanx jcalle my 'share message' field is empty indeed, I'll give it a try, tho' the 'share-screen' is set on 'game over screen' - so you might think it will share an image or a link to an image...
I have a question along this line. If we have Leaderboards and can "share" our scores... where are the leaderboards? Is it because I am the developer that I can't see it?
Hello, I have no idea, all I've found is this: https://developers.google.com/games/services/common/concepts/leaderboards http://oi68.tinypic.com/25ulg6o.jpg
If I remember correctly you can't use the gmail tied to your developer account as the primary account you are signed into your phone for testing. UPDATE: edited my statement should be "can't" not "can"
I figured out the leaderboard. I guess, for me, things like GAME SERVICES aren't obvious enough. LOL. But I am finally adding a Share button and iTunes rejected my old submission stating "you Share button is not linked to a URL" which doesn't seem like it is a problem since it works fine on my testing. Only thing is my Share Message doesn't show when adding to Facebook. Just the image of the game field. Which really isn't terrible, at least I got it to work. But any tips on getting that share message to show?
The Google Play game services is sweet. It lets you record your game even. Well however I set my High Contrast Bounce game up, it lets you do that.
I've been told in the past this is an issue with Facebook, but we will look at this again. I have a low priority issue already open for this.
OK cool. It really is not a big deal. The image of how awesome the game looks will prompt people to ask, if interested. Thank you Andy.
