Portrait + Landscape mode in BB2.0

    I think this is one of the coolest feature that we will get today. What are you awaiting for?

    it's not that simple to get a program to work in both directions unless is planned that way to begin with. The implications would be way bigger than planning the scenes to accomodate the 2 directions but the software that drives the game has to be basically be rewritten. Double menus, double code, likely double memory footprint, double chance of errors...

    I would rather see a perfect game running in 1 direction than a buggy one in 2.

    You might be able to accomplish this by changing the screen adjustment (fit to height/fit to width) depending on the orientation of the export you want. Of course you may have to build your game from the beginning with that in mind but it could help accomplish this goal until there is a better option.

    The particular gameplay type itself will be a factor. Some games this might not make sense.

    ...but it seems that is making the cut in BB 2.0... :D (reading what Trey posted on FB)

    was this another sneak peak? we only have few hours to wait to discover it.

    but i think changing a game orientation that doesn't mean change game direction the game will always go from left to right or so...

    Yes, of course. The program has to be able to manage the scene differently (both landscape and portrait) and dynamically choose which area to visualize according to size/orientation. BB 1 can handle different sizes. For the orientation it seems - reading what Trey posted on FB - that we can expect it in BB 2.0

    We will know soon enough :D

    also trey said that BB 2.0 can make a crossy road clone and there will be tvos export that will also come in 1.3.6.0
