Picking Up Coin Sounds

    For the life of me I can't get something super simple to work. When my character collides with a coin i want a sound to activate.
    The coin is set up as an action. From the coin action...
    ...If i set the sound to "Idle", the sound repeats nonstop while the coin is onscreen.
    ...If i set the sound to "Start", the sound activates once as soon as the coin gets on screen.
    ...If i set the sound to "End", the sound activates when the coin exits the screen.
    Unless I'm missing something, those are the only options... how do I activate the coin sound when the character collides with the coin?

    It should be on 'start' sound - make sure you've turned loop off

    How do I turn loop off specifically for this sound? I can't find that option on the action

    is your sound looped? that must be the problem. My coin sound is set to start and thats it. I dont have any other sounds in there

    False alarm... there were some coins hiding in a background layer and the sound would activate without me seeing them. Silly me. Thanks alot @spicedbeangames :)
