I'm making a game that is centred around portals. The character progresses across platforms, and at the end of each platform, there is a portal which takes them to the next platform up. The character can either be on the roof of the platform or the floor and hence there is a portal for each of these. However, when the character is on the roof and goes through the roof portal, the character falls down slowly, as if due to gravity. When I turn gravity off this no longer happens, but I need gravity on for other components within the game. Essentially, after going through a portal which is in the air, the character falls, when actually it should be moving upwards. Can anyone assist??
