My Character Keeps Staying On The Ground

    Hello, need some quick help

    Currently my character (the cute superwoman) cannot move up or down. Ideally I'd like that character can dive down, go up and stay in the sky, and go upper to avoid enemy. Do you think I miss something in my settings?

    Time Wrap 20

    Friction: 0

    Velocity Drag: 0

    Bounce: 14

    Game Direction: 0


    Character Setting

    Bounce force (0,3)

    Jump Force (0,40)

    Jump timeout 0.01

    Jump Counter 1

    Ground threshold 0.05

    Platform friction: 40

    Rotation Drag 100

    Hi Angela,

    With the info provided there is not much that I can do - but maybe what you are missing are proper controllers.
    If you want your character to do all those things you have to have controls in the UI that activate the movements.
    i.e: one button to jump, another one to glide, etc
    can you please share a screen of the world UI so we can have a look?

    Hey there @Benfont and #AngelaBoy, I have the an issu wih getting my charracter to attach to the rope and land on to the other platform on the other side, upload_2017-7-25_10-6-14.png . I made the rope as a physic objects and if i attach the platform to it. It stops moving. The ball still doesnt stick to the rope, :(

    hi @Innovativeideas I am not sure how to achieve that. But I will think about it and let you know if I come up with a solution..

    I am looking in for a breakthrough too. It's been 48 hours of pondering and still no solution....... Being new to this blog. Who else can I search on to ask questions?

    Well firstly, you should start your own thread, and ask your question there instead of hijacking someone else's.
    That way people will see your question a lot easier.
    The topic of this post has no relation to what you want answered,
    So in the How Can I section try posting your question there.

    Sorry for the late reply, Benfont. I don't have a Game Field UI in my interface (check attached img). I checked the example projects and most of them do not have the gamefield UI as well. Wondering how to create the Game Field UI and would that help control the character movement more smoothly than solely relying on gravity, etc settings? Thanks

    Ah I see, here you go:


    I have one 4 character buttons, one for moving forward, one for moving backward, one for jumping and one for moving down.
    The ones for jumping and moving down doesn't seem to work in my world :(

    maybe you should share a version of your buildbox file with just one scene or something and dummy graphics for others to try

    Try to add gravity 0,50 and see how it goes.
