make character go to certain position after click a button

hi guys.. how do i make a character move to a certain position when i click a button? for example,when i click a button left, the char will jump left and not more than that.., when i click button right , it will jump back to right..

 

there is a sticky jump preset in bb2, which, if you play enough with scene structure and world and character settings, you could get your character to jump where you want every time...

 

oo thanks for the info..,but im using BB 1.,is there any way that i do things like that in BB1?

 

here is what the preset cooks up for character and world settings which are all in the same place in bb1...

 

And is posible when player shock with an object or particle, he go back XXX pixels¿?
