How Could We Do This

Hi everyone,
could you please tell me how to do something like this , I mean the character is moving in straight line and when we tap the screen it stop

 

I can't say I am sure. But probably a button that changes the movement/velocity to 0 when it is pressed. You will need to play around with advanced moves on your character
