Have I missed it?
I set it up like this and it seems to work. See screenshots…
Notice how I linked "Checkpoint" output in the "Game Over UI" back to the" Game Field", "Load" input.
"Checkpoint" is just the name of my button, you can call it anything.
Hope that helps.
Hmm how would that work without an action on the button?
There's no action needed on the button, it's using the link in the Mind Map.
Hmm, after playing around some more I'm not entirely sure this is the way to do it… Maybe @Andy or @TreySmith could chime in to clarify if BB2 supports checkpoint re-starts yet?
@dan_counsell Thanks. But I think what will happen on your example would be a navi button back to the game screen. It's not what we are looking for.
On the game over screen, we can select "restart checkpoint" from the actions inside a navi button. That's ok. [Edit: Nope, it's missing also except for bbdocs imported from BB1.3. ]
However, what I was looking for was the Start from checkpoint on the start screen. There used to be an option where instead of "game start", you can pick "start from checkpoint".
Say you have a game with checkpoints like Phases. When the player pushes the start from the start screen, the game starts from the last checkpoint. How can that be done now with BB2?
Should all the Navi button actions be available on all screens by now?
We're looking into this issue specifically.
Thanks as always, @Andy .
