Hi everyone! I tried searching the forums to see if we can still use eclipse to export to android. I didn't find a definite answer. I'm guessing it still works because on the Guides Page, https://www.buildbox.com/guides/ under "Android - Google Play," it still says "Build (with Eclipse)." Danny
Yeah guides need to be updated. But its easier than ever now anyways with 2.3x BB. Just load the gradle file into Android Studio....done. Eclipse was harder.
Is there any kind of tutorial or video outlining the steps needed to submit our game using android studio? I tried looking but could not find anything. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough?
Yeah, probably didn't look hard enough When you put Android Studio in the search field you pretty much get this: http://www.buildbox.com/forum/index.php?threads/android-studio-mini-tutorial.11735/ In the second page of this thread you'll find a video made by Zack:
Lol yes I did find that video. But I didn't watch it cuz I thought it was just about testing your game on a virtual android device. This video shows how to submit your game to the android play store?
No. But just click on build signed APK and then do everything like you did with Eclipse. Nothing different there.
You can find the steps to upload to google play here and on google. A few things have changed on how the play store upload process works but its easy. Just fill in all the blanks. Upload screenshots etc. But a dev account costs one time fee of 25 bucks. [US Dollars]
