BB3 GDPR Addon by @Hanomax: Load bbassets into your projects. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wu8o644c6ijext6/GDPR Plugin BB3 by Hanomax.zip?dl=0 Hanomax’s video tutorial: BB2 BB2 GDPR Addon by me, AppNasty [ @OneHitGamer ] : Just copy the idea into your projects. https://www.dropbox.com/s/n4z5dtkljjca7t5/GDPR Sample BB2 by AppNasty.bbdoc?dl=0 Both are designed to allow for a ONE TIME nag screen alerting players that your game displays personalized ads. Will never show again after they accept. If they refuse, they can simply close game. An alternative option to just implementing google sdk etc. Google sdk is better in the sense that they can still play if they reject and your game will just show non personalized ads. Up to you which route to take.
Brilliant, thanks so much for sharing. I don't need right now as my next/first game will be paid-for I think, but been wondering how I'd do this. I tried opening but it used BB3 to open. I tried with BB2 but that said it was saved by BB3 software. So as you've said it's designed for BB2 could you save it with BB2 possibly? Cheers
It is BB2 only. When you opened it and it auto opened in bb3 it must have converted it to bb3 format. re download, launch bb2. DONT double click on the bbdoc as that will auto open in bb3.
Updated main post. Hanomax, with the speed of lightning, swooped in and made a custom asset you can load into your projects to achieve the same affect. woot!
Hmm, the dropbox link after clicking on the download button says "There was an error downloading your file", does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks for that advice, I did as you said and it seems I'd not updated to 2.3.8 so it used my BB3 app instead. Doh
The bb2 link bbdoc was made on latest bb2. I’m betting that you are on the latest in the forum. I’m likely in a higher version and that’s why it won’t open in older version.
This is the latest but they didn’t make its own post in announcements so a lot of people aren’t using it. http://download.buildbox.com/buildbox/2.3.8/Buildbox_2.3.8-2535.exe @Coldwilson
Thanks for the excellent Idea I think we can make it more simpler. Like we no need to show GDPR agreement policy to each and every user. Instead, we can simply ask something like this (Are you from EU?) with options (YES) (NO). If the user press (NO) then we can navigate him to game menu. If the user press (YES), then we can show him GDPR agreement policy. ............................................................ Can anyone here please tell me a good example of GDPR agreement message that i need to show at my app launch. I am bad in writing agreements and i have no clear idea what to write
That’s pretty much the same thing. Just allows user to choose. And IF other lands execute this idea of making people choose then it future proofs your game. Vs asking if they are from EU etc. I would just put something like: “We use personalized ads so you can Play free games. In order to play our games you MUST accept the agreement to display these Ads. It helps keep the lights on! It’s entirely your choice.” [ACCEPT] [DO NOT ACCEPT] (exit button)
