i want to publish my first app this week. i am using a pc(so android, check) and i don't have a mac. 1) i found an online solution its called macincloud, apparently they rent a mac in cloud as the name says it, saw it for the first time. i want to know is there any downside to using it. there are plans such as pay-as-you-go with 1$/ hour and managed server with 20$+ a month. http://www.macincloud.com/ which one's the best? or are there any alternative options? 2) my friend has a mac but he stays a little away. is it possible to extract files in BB as ios and copy those file an open in xcode in his mac. and then manage apple app account in my PC for ads and rest of the stuff.? going back again to update app. what is the dependency on mac in this case?
Macincloud is a great solution that's highly recommended. If you never used a Mac and xcode than I would pay for a month so that it gives you time to learn and get used to it. Another possible solution is using vmWare fusion and creating a Mac virtual machine on your PC. Yes you can export iOS in BB and then just open it up on your friend mac.
I started using bb on my pc and using macincloud... if you pay by the hour, you get like 30 hours and it doesn't renew at the month unless you've used all 30, that's the route I went before my new Mac
good to know, i ll most certainly consider this option. is it possible to publish an app with one mac and update it with another? lets say publish with friend's mac and update using macincloud.
Yeah it should be. You will need to download Apples fussy Key chains and licencing for the mac you are using. It still can create problems but is achievable.
i use VMWare Workstation or VirtualBox. Run osx el capitan on windows. drag and drop between the two.
Do you have any tutorial about using virtualbox to run Mac ? also , about Apples fussy Key chains and licencing for the mac i'm using , will i have any problem ?
Everything will act the same as if youre on a mac. Best thing to do is download an already converted VirtualBox mac os. They are free everywhere. Best bet is to youtube it. Its super easy. I was doing this for a while but decided to just get me an iMac to use.
@bharath917 just get an iMac or Mac Mini, you will bang your head to the wall why you did not swap your old PC to an awesome Mac -- look at @OneHitGamer I would say Mac is even better product from Apple than iPhone or iPad.
