Hi everyone. I'm using bb1 and I would like my levels to have different backgrounds. Can someone please tell me how to change the background when entering a new level such as in Treys "Phases" game? Thanks
Ok, thanks @brdchn25 for your quick reply. I guess Trey got into the code to change the backgrounds in phases. His backgrounds even gradually fade to the next level. It's a pretty nice affect.
Yes, it can be done in BB1. You need to use regular objects (set as decorations) and not use background objects. The light effect is used to blend the different colors. Phases was built as we were building BB1. Phases can still be built in the release version of BB1.
You can do this in Buildbox 1. Do not import your backgrounds as backgrounds but rather as decoration objects. That's it. To make the effect of backgrounds changing you will need to work with transparencies and gradients in your designs and use them in a single scene.
