LOVE the graphic design of this game... a few thoughts... It looks like the "ladders" are platforms stacked up that you jump up... It would be helpful if you have some graphic by the first ladder they come to with an arrow pointing up or something and some text right on the screen that says jump up each rung or something that just explain what they are looking at, from the video, it took me a second to realize you were jumping up the ladder... Next thought... the reason it took me a second to realize you were jumping up the ladder is because the jump animation doesn't look different enough from your walking animation. I suggest some quick tweaks that kick up her legs more or something that makes it obvious she is jumping. Ghost death animation rulz! Most brilliant death animation I've seen yet... I think you got a winner here... can't wait to play it...

All right... Does anyone else feel like they are playing that game wher you have to find the 6 things different about the pictures? I've been staring back and forth at 1 and 2 like a crazy person... What's the difference?
Lol I've been getting that response from everyone haha. #2 is lighter and has a flat design. Which of the frames did you notice first?
I thought there was an obvious difference between #1 and #2, but then I wiped a piece of dust off the screen. ;-) Honestly, I see no difference at that size. I don't think I like any of the frames.
Video looks great @telerebor, nice work. I can see many hours have been poured into this one, good luck with it, I have a good feeling I prefer Icon #1, the frames detract from the character in my opinion and whilst 'C' pops out with the yellow border, I much prefer the fact that his ear hangs outside the icon rather than inside the border.

I'll be honest with you. When the artist first gave the icons for me to choose I could not notice any differences at first lol. But if you look closer at the bottom left of icon #1 you can see it has a darker shade. The differences are not that noticeable at this size. Also if you look at the ear for #1 it has a gloss effect.
Hmmm.... Did you get charged for this "differenece"? I would say go with either one or two cuz they look the same, or tell your artist you need more change, but as a general rule, never use a border... I'm not sure where that comes from, but that's what everyone says...

When you are working several hours a day on the design you start to get picky with very small details. Somebody that has no connection to it will never see the difference. For iOS just make the green background larger to fill the entire icon. I agree, don't use any frames. They all look bad. Regarding framing or not. There are some very successful games with frames out there. But in general it is a pre-iOS7 thing I think.
