Hey Folks, Was the portrait support ever fixed up for Apple TV? - In the beta version released, only landscape is available which is a pain as our next title is the first in ages to be portrait and we were desperately hoping to ship with a TV version. Any insights/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, it seems BB2 isn't production ready yet so not looking like that is a quick solution. Thanks
No quick solution, we should be addressing pending tvOS issues when we complete the Siri Remote configuration. Shooting for the official 2.0 release or earlier.
Out of curiosity: How would an Apple TV work on portrait mode? Would one rotate their big screen TV 90 degrees?
Hi trudnai, I have heard of the duet app cleverly blocking the 'sides' with an object so that it looks good and just use the middle of the tv screen for the gameplay. Does anyone know when that update for BB1 and 2 might be ready? I am really looking forward to try it
@trudnai, I seem to remember @TreySmith mentioning that BB2 will take care of this with some options to fill in the sides. Usually a blurred out screenshot of colour from your game looks quite nice. Would be cool if we had the option to create some UI either side of our portrait games
I see, thanks. We can just do this manually right now, can't we? Btw I think it is better to always have landscape on the TV, otherwise it would not feel native on that device. So maybe it is better to resign the game when porting to it. What do you think?
