Didn't realise an app had to go for a review to beta test? I've not used testflight in ITC before. Is this a one off for first-time users, or for every app?

What's the average 'wait time' like for beta app review in ITC?

Every new testflight build will have a wait time of a couple of hours to couple of days unfortunately

It is actually much faster than the final AppReview times. Once approved for TestFlight, every time you have a new build they are asking if there were significant modifications and if you changed anything regarding to cryptographic functions within the app. Say "No" for both and review happens in matter of minutes... I believe automatically...

@Phill Mason - add yourself as an internal tester - it will be almost immediate, you'll get an email within minutes usually ;)

Next time it will be almost instantaneous -- unless you tick you have made major modifications on your software when you have to get through the ~24hrs review process...

For Internal testing it doesn't go through any review, the review is only for external users - this has always been the case.
