I understand the purpose of wake up (especially with physics objects) but what does sleep do? Is it the exact opposite? Does the properties remain the same, just movement is stopped?

Also for the distanced based on sleep, is that the distance it traveled or the distance from the character?

looking at the node the distance is the distance of the asset from the current path position. So not exactly the distance to the character.

The sleep distance appears to be the distance the asset has moved since waking up. So I guess your asset has to move before it can sleep. Not ideal perhaps you may want to sleep other actions, such as rotation I guess.
