No I totally understand. Never even thought of it like that. Can't wait to see it. Good luck if you do go to KetchApp.
Hey guys. Is there any way I can protect my game in case they do something nasty and copy my game.? But I am sure they won't because many of you said that they don't...
You should be more worried about the pirates who copy your game right after you release and re-release your game as it was theirs
They also take your binary and just replace the monetion stuff in it (IAP IDs and Ads) and just relist it. Probably they spend 1-2 hours for that. Some might even re-skin the game.
@trudnai OMG so they do it all in deep...I mean but at the end people will go for the Original one..Right?
Right so making game is one thing, selling them is another. So if your marketing efforts are good then pirates cannot make notable damage to you. It is just annoying when you put months of work and possible money and someone just steals that in a split second.
yeah true , just like color switch and any other big hit game, everyone go and search for the original one .
AFAIK there is no similar testing on Google PlayStore. However, it is easier to host the APK on your server or DropBox and let anyone install that with the "Unknown Source" settings on. Also there are 3rd party testing services doing the hosting and other things for you.
Thank you, but in this case you can't proof that the APK is yours Unless if you send a registered APK file or
Of course you can prove it, for an apk to install on a device you will have to sign it with a Key, and once you do that, then it kinda yours because only you have the key and the game will then accepted on play store only on your key, if someone tries to steal your apk and then later want to update the app, then playstore would want the apk signed with the same key, which they don't have so they can;t do anything...
