Score Type Distance Always Appearing As 0

I have followed along build boxes tutorial "Make your own game series", and the game is called Glitch. I am currently in the game UI and I added a label to track the distance. In properties the Function is score, Score type is distance, and amount is current. In the settings I have made the score type distance already, and I have played around with all these different fields. Does anyone know what is goin on?
