@Roberto P @Clemshawn @trygii @sysads @masdani Yeah man we have been feature almost everywhere, the most important feature is in "US"
nope.... looks like he has been called out on a review in the app store... so sad >>>>>>>>>>> You copied my game by Vlarry171717 You copied my game from scirra Accelo alone!!!!!! I will report you
Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that we at Umbrella didn't know that this game was cloned. We found that out yesterday. We do not condone the cloning business, and regret that this has happened. We will either take the game down, or transfer it to the developer's account.
Wow this are some news! Is it really 100% cloned? I mean of course it looks similar design and gameplay wise, but are level design the same (aka it is the same game) or is it "just" a copy from the original mentioned?
Actually not. They don't look the same that's for sure BUT very similar. Level 2 of both games: Original: VS Copy: In my humble opinion it's not a clone. What is your opinion @heathclose?
YES IT IS... JUST PLAY THE GAME.. I UNDERSTAND IF YOU COPY THE GAME TYPE BUT THE LEVELS AND OTHER NO... I SAW IN THE TRAILER THE GAME LEVELS ...WTF!
I played both a little can't say for sure and I completely agree, it's a almost the same game. This doesn't make it a clone though. By definition, a clone is the exact same game (taken from the source code). A re-skinned clone is the exact same game with new graphics (like what happened with Damn Daniel and Ball Jump), a copy is a different game with different graphics and different level design but highly inspired by another game with the exact same game-play. In this case it seems it is the third option. I can be mistaken though, I often am.
No however ... if that was my game i would send an email to apple to remove the game ... @Christoph and i am sorry for @Umbrella guys cause they now may loose the chance of getting featured for a few in appstore cause they made an error if the original game developer talked with aple review team to remove this game. Apple dont like these things.
We've had games of ours cloned many times, and reported some of those too, and Apple never took them down. Cloning games isn't strictly illegal if you don't use any of the same assets, which is probably why Apple never took down those clones (they had no legal obligation to). However, we are personally opposed to cloning... We take great pride in releasing original titles, and have a reputation to uphold, which is why we're transferring the game to the developer's account. We were guaranteed that the game was not a clone, and the deal we made is based on that fact. It's a shame, really...
