So I'm noticing that the "Review" button is on the game over screen. I'm also wanting to put this on the main scene but it is not available from the button option in this menu. I'm attempting to use the URL button with the review link in it but this is not functioning. Any work around?
Hmmm, I didn't know that this was a built in feature. I've checked with some of the other BB apps that I have on my iPad. Review button is always on Game over page, every time. In fact Menu page only shows up once at initial boot up. There is no link in BB to take you back to Menu once the game is launched. So any features there are just a one off access. This doesn't solve your particular question unless you are prepared to dig into your game in Xcode level and modify code to give yourself a work-around. I can't say it would be worth the time or money for the effort.
mmmh the review button takes you to the appstore, right? So you simply could make an URL button with your app-store link of your game and it would behave the same. You find the URL button under Controls on the left.
I've never had any issues with URL Buttons on the Main Menu screen. You may need to hit up support... Just for reference though, I usually use the following link to open straight to review: "http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/...er=0&sortOrdering=2&type=Purple+Software&mt=8". Where "xxxxxxxx" is your app id.
@Christoph I know its weird, apparently it was a code name for the iPhone. From: "http://arstechnica.com/apple/2008/12/linking-to-the-stars-hacking-itunes-to-solicit-reviews/" "The MZFinance web object application is responsible for handling app reviews, and its addUserReview command lets you link to an iTunes page where users can add reviews. The URL in question looks like this. In case you're curious about the "purple software" bit, purple was the iPhone platform's development code name."
Problem solved. @seanjonathanconnor noticed I had a space before the link which was causing the problem. Something so small causing such big trouble!
