Re-Engineering BB Project From Xcode

We have just come across this user name browsing on Forum, it's same username like on chupamobile.
We do not know if it is same person but it's the same username.

Sorry to say, this doesn't help as the IPA can be used too.

 

This reconnects to what I mentioned when we were discussing about joining a "publisher": the legal help to fight this scammers it's absolutely vital.

We can't fight piracy - it would be utopia to even think about it - but give them a hard time and hit them HARD where it hurts is the way to go:

- for start let's download their games... find out their publisher and advertising id... fight with AD companies to shut them down, let them have their publishing account closed (let's see how many times they can spend $99 or $25...)

that's the way to go: bringing the war to their wallet.

Sorry for not being in a "XMas" spirit but I cannot stand this level of ripoff regardless that the games are mine or not.

 

we could have a thread just for this case: find the ripoff and report for the legitimate users to take action... exchange of legal emails to send and unite altogether to fend this menace.

 

Another game creator software had this problem too. Not sure if they ever fixed it as I don't use the software anymore. BB is far better. They were looking to implement obfuscation of the project files. I have a link I can post to their forum but not sure if thats allowed as it is a competitor.

 

Besides the proposal to hit them with the "legal hammer", which I second, I would really like to see that the hard times start with encryption of BB player app's used ressources, as obfuscating in the common sense is simply not good enough. That's why I'm eagerly awating BBs approach to fight against this ripoff right from the source and hopefully we get some countermeasures shortly.

Guys, this has little to do with cloning or getting people shut down, that is a losing battle - however the BB Team are looking into the serious issue of re-engineering downloaded IPA's into BB.docs, essentially handing your source code over to the pirates. This is a whole different ball game entirely from lifting graphics and sound.

This is a massive problem that I'm sure and hoping has gone top of their list.

 

Hey Guys, just wanted you to know I am aware of this and it is a big discussion. We're making multiple different changes to help protect your bbdocs.

If you want to send DMCAs you can and it doesn't cost you anything (we can't give legal advice, but search on Google for many articles discussing this). This is something we have to do on a consistent basis.

Honestly, I am interested in how to get Apple or Google or whatever app store to pull blatant rip-offs or infringements of an entire game, such as what we've been discussing in this thread. Anyone have thoughts or pointers to things that help with that?

We've done this many many times and it's usually a slow process, but always been successful in our cases.
