Over the years some of the older Devs in this business would adhere to the theory, "The more real Estate, the better". So, we would publish a Free version and a Paid version of each of our apps. Paid always used to bring in a little bit and add to the bottom line. But business models have been evolving over the past several years. For those of you who have been in the App Biz for an extended period, I ask this: Are you still publishing a Paid version of you Free app? If so, are you still calling it "Pro"? what is your marketing term currently. Is it still worth the effort if you are self-publishing?
I'm not the right person to answer this question but I just wanted to mention that Geometry Dash, one of the most successful games in the last two years has a free version with ads and a paid pro version. They call the free version "light" and the other has the normal name. I think this is still an option when you really have a lot of pro features to sell.
