Hey everyone, I'm getting close to finishing up my first game in BB2 for Halloween and wanted to get some opinions on the icon. I've bounced these around to my family but wanted to get a wider option. Which icon do you think looks the best? A.
well... without seeing the gameplay, it's hard to say what part of the gameplay communicates the reward loop... Your icon is a gateway to your game world... reminding them what they like best about it (that moment of reward) is what you want to remind them of and have staring at them to cut through the noise of all the other icons on their device... certainly colors play a part, in which D would be most noticeable... but again.. color is only a part...
i will also go for D but i would suggest to -make the platform more visible -lower the size of platform and character by 10 percent to give the background more space -make the character face the game direction iam also seeing a lot of color that can have a little distraction so in general polish it a little bit
Of course D! Some will get smaller if they're on the appstore size. What you can do is get a screenshot of an app store then try to put your icon there, also try to lessen the details, those icons which have spaces are more noticeable
