I'm pretty sure this game will not run smooth with graphics that big. Also, you should try to design enemies, background, platforms etc different so the player can know what is what. Surreal doesn't mean the theories and rules of colors, game design, etc do not apply. You also might wanna google Surrealism to see what other artists have done and you'll see that your style in fact has nothing to do with the movement of surrealism. Good luck! Update: Before I forget. You might wanna google also Jan Švankmajer. You might love his stop motion work and get inspired. Not surrealism though either.
