Im building a game similar to The Pit which was created by Trey Smith, however I have added in the ability to switch/move into different lanes via swipes (up/down) The swiping part is working - up is moving up and down is moving down a lane but the movement isn't accurate and it jumps either too far up or slightly backwards too. Could someone have a look at the swipe movements and see if there is a way to make it more subtle jumps that go less of a distance or something like crossy road 'hop' style.
