Isometric Game-Character Movements

Hello Boxers,
I am a rookie at this stage and ended up here after developing some platformers and space shooter gameplay demos
NOW I was trying to built an Isometric game and couldn't move my character as I expected.

here the yellow line indicates the fixed movement I want from character
and the green box is my character gameplay camera with all sides set as 'BLOCK'.
and thus which lets me move anywhere within the green area on X and Y .

help is appreciated.
