You can use Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Personally I use Adobe Illustrator to create high quality graphics. It is based on vectors so you can save your image in any resolution you want without loosing quality. You can watch great tutorials on YouTube by Swerve or Will Patterson for example. Hope I could help!
Pick Illustrator and make sure to spend some time learning how to use it. There are quite a few free tutorials over the internet. You can learn the basics in just a few days.
Inkscape is free and also creates Vector Graphics and there are lots of tutorials online. Blender is also another great free tool if you want to give your assets a more 3D look and there are loads of tutorials online for this too
Guys, you can try affinity designer. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/designer/ It is great for Vector art and even for Apps. Best of all, it's much cheaper than Photoshop. Great for indies like us.
If you are not able to learn making art (Just like me ) you can download free arts from opengameart.com.
I want to get Procreate on an iPad Pro. Anyone have experience using it? It's a pretty great tool for designs...especially if you're needing something for 2D.
yeah i use it most of the time when i draw on my ipad pro, it works really well with the apple pencil as well. its alot better then adobe sketch in my opinion.
Hi Guys !!, i am using Inkscape and watched some tutorials, it looks great and you can do awesome things there, now in a game i am creating i am using basic geometric shapes ... i exported from inkscape but in buildbox when I made the shapes small they look so pixeled but when i make them big again they look good ... so what could it be the problem? could it be my graphic card ?, if i render the game will they look bad too?
Yes Illustrator and Inkscape if you know how to use it But there is an app called *Assembly* i dont know if on android but on iOS it is available. great app you can make alot of it if you are into flat graphics.
