How Important is using Sleep function on objects?

Can it effect performance of my game?

 

BB has delete thresholds, so when you get far enough from an object or rather, when an object gets far enough "off scene" it is deleted... Both a back del threshold and a side del threshold (which you can change in settings) so if you have something moving off scene, it's going to get deleted anyway..
