Help Tail Effect Animation

I'm looking for how to make the tail effect looks like this game did: .

I was watched the tutorial guide to use tail effect on Buildbox site but it did not work.
Any body know please please help me how to do same things?

what trail you are talking about character trail or rocket trail

 

Character trail.
I set object with animation, but i the animation go forever.
Is it possible to play the animation once?

 

if you want it to play once added the spinning object in the jumping animation area like the character above the rail show only when it jump and the setup is to drop an image lets say a circle into the main animation area its spin for ever or in the move or jump area to spin once - make the object a decoration added some velocity and check spin make it around 0.1 - 0.5 or so make it permanent or change to what suit you.
