I trying to test my game on my phone and am in the process of following the google play upload. Its asking me for "Package Name" The guide says click on it to see a list nothing happens for me Package name must be of the form com.example.package (The guide says click on it to see a list nothing happens for me?) What do i enter here?
I haven"t published any game yet and i am not sure but i think there should be (com.yourcompanyname.gamename) i am not sure about this
What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to actually add your app IN Game Services on Google Play? If so, it won't appear as it isn't live yet. So you have to add it manually. Whatever you named your apk package. Example. My Trump game would be com.spicedbean.trumpvszombies - so .com.yourcompanyname.gamename - this must match what you put in your Settings tab in Buildbox. If you want your game to appear in that tab, upload a version to beta (NOT PRODUCTION)
Have you tried what I explained above? It's pretty straight forward as you must know what your game package name is.
I think you trying to upload exported file from Buildbox, right? In that case you need to create an APK file from exported folder what is a different part of the whole process. Have a look at "how to create APK" on this forum.
Eclipse is not working for me unable to write jarlist cache file 2016-11-29 20:31:24 - google-play-services_lib] Unable to resolve target 'android-23' [2016-11-29 20:31:24 - com.Test1.k9gamer] Unable to resolve target 'android-23'
You need to install API 23 via the Android SDK manager. Are you following the BB guide? https://www.buildbox.com/publish-android-build-for-google-play/
Use the Eclipse version provided in the guide. Otherwise you need to follow one of the Android Studio forum tutorials other customers have made. Unfortunately, I can't provide any help with Android Studio at this time. We are working on migrating from Eclipse to Android Studio for Buildbox exports, but it is not ready yet. Android SDK Manager is included with the ADT bundle (see our guide) located at "sdk/tools/android". At least that is the path on Mac, might be slight different for Windows.
CREATE ANDROID OAUTH CLIENT API requests are sent directly to Google from your clients' Android devices. Google verifies that each request originates from an Android application that matches the package name and SHA1 signing certificate fingerprint name listed below. Package name: com.Ballbounce.k9gamer Signing certificate fingerprint (SHA1): Certificate fingerprint is invalid STEP 2: AUTHORISE YOUR APP I can`t authorise the app and complete this step as i get no key The guide says You can leave these settings exactly as they are, with the exception of Package Name. Click Package Name and you will see a list of games setup for Google Play. Click on one of these, to select it. when i click on Package name no list comes up so i was just putting in com.Ballbouce.k9gamer
You need to upload your apk to the BETA stage. It will then populate the data. If your apk is your FINAL/PRODUCTION build - that is fine, you can use the same one - just move it to production
I have done all the steps in the guide at part 13 on the next screen, click [Authorise your app now]. I don`t get an application ID
Ive done that stage and put the code into my build box game but it when i try to [Authorise your App now] I just get CREATE ANDROID OAUTH CLIENT API requests are sent directly to Google from your clients' Android devices. Google verifies that each request originates from an Android application that matches the package name and SHA1 signing certificate fingerprint name listed below. Package name: com.Ninjatest.RDG Signing certificate fingerprint (SHA1): and when i click confirm it just says Certificate fingerprint invalid
