google play developer and apple developer problem

is saw that you need to pay $25 for google play to release your game and $99 for the apple store?! do i need to pay that to publish my game?

 

All you need to do is register as a developer in Google and Apple. I think the amount you stated are correct. This are yearly renewals. When you have registered, you are free to release a million games in a year without any additional payment

 

yeah im 12 year old so i think i only release my game on android because only $25

 

$99 / year for apple and $25 for google (lifetime, not sure later if they will charge yearly, hopefully not)

 

I think both accounts for 124USD would be a perfect Christmas gift from your parents... Just a thought though.

 

You can also distribute your Android app by yourself, no need Google Play Store if you want to save that $25 to invite your friends for a double cheeseburger

Just for the sake of curiosity: If you can afford a BuildBox license, how can't you put just a little bit more for the distribution?

 

didnt realize google was a one time payment, i believe windows is the same

Simply host your APK on your website and users who turns on "3rd Party Apps" in their settings can just download and install it.
