I think you can use the transform and set the scale for the direction Up or down to a minus number. So if your start is say Scale 1.0 x 1.0 set the X scale to -1.0 and leave the Y and it should give the desired effect in your image above

Thank you, that was very useful. Now, how can I create an Action that will flip the character, when character reaches this Action?

    Thanks

Just noticed that transform works for only objects, not for the character :(

Late to the party. Should have just searched for "how do you get a fish to reverse course," because that's exactly what I was trying to do. Thanks @jigglybean :)

create an object your character would bump into and use the advanced move character setting and set the affected asset to the be the object you just created, then place your flipped image character in the animation box or place your character image in the animation box and flip your image there. sorry this is coming exactly one year after you asked it; but for the benefit of anyone that would need to know

1 create boxes to serve as a blockade to your character.
2 create an advance move setting for your character
3 make the affected asset one of the boxes you created
4 in the animation box, drop the image for your character
5 open the animation editor and flip the image by making the necessary axis of the scale negative

    hope the pictures help
